This Blog is intended to support the iPhone Tamil SMS software "Tamil SMS". We will be publishing useful information related to the Tamil SMS application through this blog. As this is one of the first attempt to create a Tamil software keyboard for mobile phone, your suggestions and feedbacks are greatly appreciated.

Hi this is very useful for Tamil peoples , but I want to ask one I can't find many letters example ru, ruu many

ReplyDeleteThanks for your feedback. The letters you have mentioned are known as "Non-standard consonant-vowel combinations", which are not part of the current unicode standard(There are no code points for this letters). Many of the non-standard letters can be created using combination of letters or virama.
Eg: ru - ர + double tap உ

ReplyDeleteThis app could be more user friendly if the blinking cursor indicator could be added in it as it would indicate where the next letter would appear. It should be made draggable as then we could drag it to the word or letter which we want to correct. Other than this problem, this makes a great app for all Tamilians. I take this opportunity to thk u for creating this wonderful app !!
